The beloved Elephant-God, Lord Ganesha is known by several names, one of which is Vighnaharta, he who removes all obstacles. Worshipping Him rids the devotees of all their problems and worries. Ganesha is given utmost prominence in Vastu Shastra. His presence in home and office is crucial to ward off negative energies which may arise due to certain Vastu defects. The swastika is considered Lord Ganesha’s symbol and therefore often used. One should ensure that the idol or image of Lord Ganesha has its trunk turned towards the left.
